Next, they made mummy apples & learned how people in ancient times were mummified. And, they learned about making crystals. Please see all of the fun pictures attached and more on facebook! Great job everyone!!! (Included are the finished product & the grass hair)

Boozhoo Families,
We would like to update you regarding a recent change to our COVID-19 school safety protocols.
Effective this Friday, August 20, 2021, Lac du Flambeau Public School will require everyone to wear a face covering while inside the school building.
This face covering requirement is in alignment with Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Tribal Council Resolution #325(20): https://ldftribe.com/departments/142/Reinstatement_of_Mask_Requirement_Beginning_8_20_21.html
This face covering requirement will be in effect until further notice. As always the safety of our students, families and staff is of the highest priority.
In addition, The American Academy of Pediatrics, Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, Wisconsin Department of Health Services and Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction currently recommends everyone wear a face covering while inside a school building regardless of vaccination status. We will keep everyone updated as we move forward.
Thank you for your patience, flexibility and understanding as we continue to navigate the pandemic. Chi Miigwech!

During summer school, students have been learning to see what treasures are around them while working on their creativity and problem solving skills with Mrs. Richter (formerly Ms. Pankow) by making instruments from 'garbage' they collect! They warmed up last week by making shakers and chicken sounds. Today, after multiple days of hard work, students have created their own recycled instruments! Ask them for more details on how each instrument works.

It's blackberry picking time! 1st grade summer school students were learning about blackberries today in Ms. Patti Maulson's class! Looks like summer fun!
