The 4K students at Lac du Flambeau Public School really loved the hand-made bags with toys inside -created, made, and delivered by Mrs. Bonnie Butzer. Thank you again Mrs. Butzer!

PLANTING SEEDS FOR CULTURE:
Planting Seeds for Culture is a Tobacco and Vaping Prevention Program that provides an innovative authentic learning environment that incorporates cultural values and modern prevention techniques. Our students are replacing commercial tobacco in our School by growing traditional tobacco in our School's greenhouse. We are passing down the positive traditional teaching of tobacco while incorporating tobacco and vaping prevention. Our goal is to plant seeds of culture and knowledge in our students' hearts and minds that will blossom into the right decisions throughout their life.
Two of our 7th graders have just completed their tobacco pouches with Mr. Valliere, and they filled them with the asema grown from our School's greenhouse. Our students' have also created a seed bank from our tobacco plants and they're available in Culture Connections for anyone interested. Please call the school at 715.588.3838 ext. 506.
