A message for families in the community from Ms. Stacy Stone.
Good Day, With summer approaching and the kids starting to walk around the community more, it was discussed to share this informational piece as a reminder to the parents to talk to their children about not touching items they find on the streets. Fentanyl is growing rapidly in our community and it is unknown where or what item(s) in the ditches are exposed too. Also, I know the Community Health Department and the Prevention Program will be reaching out to the school about doing some prevention activities surrounding contraband (needles, wrappers, etc..) that are found within the community park and recreational areas.
Thank you.
Sincerely, Stacy L. Stone-State of Emergency Program Analyst-ICS Planning Section Chief-Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians.
