Good afternoon Warrior Families, The week of April 17 - April 21, 2023 is Tornado & Severe Weather Awareness Week in Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Emergency Management team and the five National Weather Service Forecast Offices that service Wisconsin are asking that everyone take time to go over their safety plans so that they will be ready when severe weather strikes. Our school will be participating in the statewide tornado drill on Thursday, April 20 at 1:35 pm. Students will practice our emergency procedures going to their nearest tornado shelter. Members of our school safety team will also help ensure that procedures and behaviors are followed and help identify any opportunities for improvement. Please contact the school at 715-588-3838 with any questions. Miigwech!

Grilled Cheese and good conversation in the LDF principal's office today! Gannon saved up 200 WOW bucks just to have lunch with the school principal., Mr. Ben Fieck. Gannon loved looking at all of the football memorabilia and really wants to play football when he gets older. (Trivia question...What’s the smartest kind of cheese? Cheese whiz.!! LOL!! ) Have a great day & think Spring!

WAY TO GO WESTAN! Westan Wildcat took 4th place in the state wrestling championship over the weekend! This WI Wrestling State Folk Style Tournament was held at the Alliant Energy Center, in Madison. Mom noted it was a great weekend, but a very long day when Westan wrestled...15 hours! Westan didn't wrestle until, after 10 hours of wait time, he was even able to take a nap! Mom also noted that 8 went to state from the Lakeland Youth Wrestling group and 3 placed. Below you will see the photos from the meet along with photos taken on the Warrior campus. Westan even had our superintendent Mr. Josh Ernst (a former wrestler himself) and our principal Mr. Ben Fieck in a dangerous headlock move! Again, CONGRATULATIONS TO WESTAN AND HIS FAMILY FROM THE WARRIOR FAMILY AT LDF SCHOOL! Plans to go to Nationals next weekend,  in Iowa, are still uncertain.
