Warrior Families, On Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, Lac du Flambeau Public School will honor our community graduates at all levels. The Honors Powwow will begin at 1:30 pm at the Waaswaaganing Indian Bowl. Guardians/Families are invited to attend. Please see below for VIP guardian/family seating. Students will be bused from school at 1:20 pm to the Indian Bowl and after the completion bused back to school around 2:45 pm to complete the school day. If you would like to take your child home from the Indian Bowl please sign the permission slip that was sent home with your child and return to school. Today our LDF School principal had a great chat with one of our awesome 3rd grade students! Ashiyah St.Germaine shared that her favorite food is pepperoni pizza—yum! She's also a big fan of soccer and was excited to talk about how her team won their last game last year! On top of that, she enjoys playing basketball too—what a sporty superstar! She gave a big shoutout to her amazing Math and Science teachers, and all of her third-grade teachers who make learning so much fun. We’re so proud of her energy, positivity, and school spirit! Here's some Friday Fun! Scene: LDF School Principal's Office ( Mr. Ben Fieck) The student (Julius Bauman/4th gr) both are sitting at the principal's desk: with a tray of cheeseburgers, baked beans, an orange, and chocolate milk. Student: This cheeseburger is pretty good today. Principal: Glad to hear that! Student: So… what’s your favorite sport, Mr. Fieck? Principal: Ah, that’s an easy one—football, hands down. I played in middle & high school. My team was the conference champs in '93. Student: Whoa, that’s awesome! What position did you play? Principal: Middle School/Starting QB. I loved the energy on the field—nothing like Friday night lights. College/played Basketball. Student: That’s so cool. I like football too, but I like basketball too! Principal: Basketball’s a close second for me. Fast-paced, and it takes real skill. Principal: Well, Julius, keep on with the sports! Practice makes perfect—and don’t skip your beans and oranges. Athletes need their fuel. Have a great weekend! Enjoy the springlike temperatures!
