Parents, if you have been contacted by your child's teacher that you have print material to pick up for your remote learner, today is the day! You can also drop off homework at this time. It’s never too early to get ready for school! The Waterford UPSTART program offers in-home school readiness that gives your child a fun start to education! Lac du Flambeau School District is approved to participate in this program.

The US Department of Defense is looking to add Lac du Flambeau to their list of partner tribes for the STEM programming they do for students. They are offering a sign up for monthly STEM sessions that will put them on Zoom chats with folks from higher education institutions and other entities including NASA! They will be done once/month and are tentatively scheduled for the last weekend of each month. Students have to have their own device and wifi to access. Hello! Here is a message from Lac du Flambeau Public School: Tomorrow, Friday, September, 25th there is NO in-person school for ALL students. The Friday Home Learning Day for in-person students continues. Important: Please remember that homework that students are working on at home on Friday, is due into their teacher by Monday. Also, in-person students learning from home on Friday's will receive take-home meals on Thursdays at pick up or dismissal time. So today, all in-person students will bring home a meal for tomorrow. The school is providing Friday meals for our K-8 in-person learners. The meal includes breakfast and lunch items in one bag. Students will take a meal bag home with them prior to pick up or dismissal time prior to getting on the bus.
**The Youth Center will be CLOSED on Friday, Sept. 25th due to the COVID testing in the YC parking lot. **
And: It is very important that families in the Lac du Flambeau public school community complete the U.S. Census. The deadline is nearing for this to be done. It's quick and easy. The 2020 Census questionnaire will take only about 10 minutes and can help our community funding for the next generation. No Census again for 10 years.
