Tomorrow, Friday, September, 18th there is NO in-person school for ALL students. The Friday Home Learning Day for the in-person students starts tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 18th.
Also, in-person students learning from home on Friday's will receive take-home meals on Thursdays at pick up or dismissal time. So today, all in-person students will bring home a meal for tomorrow.
The school is providing Friday meals for our K-8 in-person learners. The meal includes breakfast and lunch items in one bag. Students will take a meal bag home with them prior to pick up or dismissal time prior to getting on the bus.
Also: It is very important that families in the Lac du Flambeau public school community complete the U.S. Census. The deadline is nearing for this to be done. It's quick and easy. The 2020 Census questionnaire will take only about 10 minutes and can help our community funding for the next generation. No Census again for 10 years. The US Department of Defense is looking to add Lac du Flambeau to their list of partner tribes for the STEM programming they do for students. They are offering a sign up for monthly STEM sessions that will put them on Zoom chats with folks from higher education institutions and other entities including NASA! They will be done once/month and are tentatively scheduled for the last weekend of each month. Students have to have their own device and wifi to access. Just a reminder to please have your child(ren) wear a face-covering each day prior to boarding the bus. Flag football information from the High School.
For grades 1st through 4th-Starting Saturday, September 19th. Time from 10:00-11:45 AM and the cost is $25. The new dates for the league will be as follows: September 19, September 26 (Beef-a-Rama is canceled), October 3, and October 10. Please see the flyer attached for more details.

A message from Lac du Flambeau Public School: The LDF School will once again be able to offer free breakfast and lunch to any person 18 or under. Five days' worth of meals will be available for pick up every Tuesday from 9-11:00. Pick up will begin for this program on Tuesday, September 15th, 2020. Students that have chosen Remote Learning must have the Remote Learning Agreement on file-if not, agreements will need to be completed BEFORE a Chromebook can be picked up.

The Remote Learning students can return completed print material assignments to our secured drop box located in the front lobby area Monday - Friday 6:15 am - 9:30 pm and during Tuesday during the 5-day meal pick up time from 9:00 am - 11:00 am- Please note this extended time 11:00 a.m. New material will also be distributed during this time.
AND...parents, we have a cloth face mask update to share: The LDF Tribe provided the school with additional masks, so now, we have two packs of masks for each Remote Learner, as well, and will hand them out when they do attend In Person learning. Also, masks were delivered to the other Lakeland Schools and they will be distributing two packages of masks to their Native American In-Person Students as well. Thank you.
